Aimee S. - Instructor

My yoga journey began in 2012 when my good friend Kelly, invited me to join her for a class. I spent the whole day convincing myself that I would probably die and trying to think of an excuse to get out of class. But you can’t tell Kelly 'no' because she’s too wonderful...so I showed up. After surviving my first class I was hooked. I learned so much about myself and through yoga grew to confidently love the person that I am. Later in my yoga journey, I was introduced to yin yoga and my love for yoga grew even more.  Yoga gives me a place and space to love myself and to tell the whole truth about me.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2021 and began to teach at Sumits. I love to share my love for yoga and to practice with as many people as possible. I am constantly amazed about what yoga does for our minds and bodies. Most importantly, what I love about yoga is that it's for everyone. There are so many ways to make yoga inclusive and I strive to bring inclusivity to every class I teach.
