Sumits Hot Yoga Columbia offers yoga classes for all levels that are both heated and non-heated.

We also offer a full yoga retail boutique including apparel, mats, towels, as well as other yogi inspired products and accessories from the best brands in technical athletic apparel including lululemon, Manduka, Free People, Beyond Yoga, Nomadix and many more!

All of our instructors hold a minimum of 200 hour certification from The Yoga Alliance. You can feel confident that the instruction you receive will be safe and have you in correct alignment during each and every posture! Classes are Vinyasa Flow, Bikram and Ashtanga inspired.

Heated

Sumits Yoga was created by Sumit Banerjee based on his own years of experience practicing and teaching various yoga styles including Bikram and Vinyasa. The class integrates the core principles of traditional hot Bikram yoga and power flow yoga which is Ashtanga inspired.
Sumits Yoga series classes are a creative and effective combination of static poses, vinyasa flow, upbeat music, and heat. The series is mindfully designed and proven to strengthen, heal, and rejuvenate. Whether you’re brand new to yoga, or you’re looking to supplement a regular yoga practice, Sumits truly offers something for everyone. The series stays the same each class, but no two practices are ever identical, the challenge is yours to create!
Vinyasa Flow yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The Vinyasa practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom, and fluidity in the body and mind. Every Vinyasa Flow is designed by the instructor and will vary each time. Expect a fully balanced class where all levels are welcome.
Hot 26+2 Yoga (Bikram Yoga) is a serious of 26 Hatha yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a heated room. It is called a beginners series and every Hot 26&2 Yoga class is suitable for all levels: first timers to advanced practitioners alike.
This class slows down each posture and moves at a slower pace. This class is heated with humidity.

Non-Heated

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time - for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body - the tendons, fascia, and ligaments - with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
This rigorous class offers strength postures that will have you moving, breathing, and sweating! This class focuses on building and engaging your core strength to support you in more advanced postures. Yoga sculpt strengthens, balances, and exhilarates the body and mind. Light weights are used for a full body workout and lift. This class is a balance of both strength and conditioning. All levels of yogis are welcome in this high intensity class.
Shapeshifting is a series of exercises designed to get into any problem spots in the body. It is used by yoga champions to strengthen their practice. Non-heated and less formal. It consists of floor, ballet barre, and wall exercises. As well as hybrid yoga postures to build strength, flexibility and stamina.
