SEPTEMBER 2026
I started yoga over 10 years ago in a Sumits 80-minute class, struggling through every pose. By final savasana, I was too tired to move and too out of breath to control my breathing. With a cool lavender towel across my forehead, I realized something simple but powerful: the ground was holding me up.
For much of my life, I had felt like I was in freefall. Yoga showed me I could create the stability I neededβto ground myself, push against gravity, release through breath and movement, and begin a conversation with my body. As life continued to bring new challenges, Sumits became a way to reorient myself. A class pass became a 30-day challenge, then an unlimited membership, and eventually YTT.
Through consistency, I discovered my own strength and the support of this community. I realized I wasnβt alone or in freefall. On every mat is someone practicing resilienceβbreathing through discomfort, shedding layers, and choosing to stay present through transformation. My mat became a place to move through sore muscles and sore life experiences, notice grief without letting it consume me, and release what I no longer needed to hold.
After every class, I feel lighter, more aligned, and more focusedβwith a deeper awareness of my strength, resilience, and the experiences that have shaped me.
Every breath is a declaration of vitality, an invitation to become, an infinite possibility. And from there... we FLY!
Namaste Yogis!
